There are 4 main licensing authorities in the country from which medical professionals and healthcare facilities can obtain their license:

DHA (Dubai Health Authority):

Oversees the complete healthcare sector in the emirate of Dubai

DHCR (Dubai Healthcare City Authority – Regulatory):

Regulates healthcare facilities and professionals in the Dubai Healthcare City free zone (DHCC)

MOHAP (Ministry of Health and Prevention):

Regulates and supervises the healthcare sector in the northern Emirates (Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain)

DOH (Department of Health – Abu Dhabi):

Regulator of the healthcare sector in the emirate of Abu Dhabi

All of these 4 authorities have their specific requirements and process flow which has to be fulfilled by the applicant in order to get a professional or facility license.
